Chondrovital® 1% 2 ml protects cartilage

Chondrovital® syringe contains 2 ml, 1% sodium hyaluronate commonly known as Hyaluronic Acid, naturally occurring polymer that belongs to the class of glucosamine glycans (mucopolysaccharide), which is ubiquitously found in the human organism with an identical chemical structure. Hyaluronic acid is an essential component of the synovial fluid without embryotoxic or teratogenic properties.
The Chondrovital® intra-articular hyaluronic acid to be injected directly into the joint cavity to supplement the synovial fluid in synovial joints in case of osteoarthritis.

Osteoarthritis Degradation of Cartilage

significantly reduced viscoelasticity
and volume of synovial fluid

The graph shows the hyaluronic acid molecules as they are present in the human synovial fluid. While aging, the molecular matrix of this fluid starts deteriorating due to the continuous destruction of the cartilage. The aim of a Chondrovital® therapy is to improve this fluid and to improve its lubricating, shock-absorbing and pain reducing effect. This automatically reduces the destruction of cartilage, as the self-accelerating process depends on a degenerated synovial fluid.

Chondrovital® resembles fully viscoelastic quality of synovial fluid and may supplement or replace it and may in elderly age.

Chondrovital® is made by fermentation thus does not contain any animal or human cells.

Chondrovital® has overwhelming features

  • highly purified, very low level of endotoxines
  • synthetic origin, no infection and allergy risks
  • CE certified to be used in all synovial joints
  • easy to inject with a pre-filled syringe
  • extremely highly viscoelastic > 2,5 MDa :
      • excellent lubricative effect
      • excellent shock absorbing effect

Therapy: 3 weekly infiltrations every 6-12 months
